How to have a successful last six months of the year.

It's that time of the year to reflect on what you have done in the last six months.
Stop for a second to ask yourself, "What have I achieved so far?"
Time flies, and that is why you should never waste it. You have been blessed with life which i considered the greatest gift of all.

Always thanks the Lord every blessed day of your life for the works of His hand, seek actively the things that your heart desires and pray. The devil always wants you to fall but when you have Jesus you will never fall because in Christ you have the power to move mountains. You are God's creation; He loves you and He will not leave you alone because He wants to see you prosper. God has given you so many things and many blessings. All you have to do is obey His words, Seek His face and call on Him without ceasing, He is every ready to answer you.
The first half of the year has come and gone, many things has happened; good or bad but the fact is God still kept you till today. Many have died but you're not better than them. Its just the grace and mercy of God over your life. God purposely kept you alive for His purpose. Whether or not you have achieved a lot in the last six months, forget those things which ate behind and reach for those things are before you.  Strategize a new plan, commit it to God's hands and stick with it. Put your trust in the Lord and obey His command. Those who trust in God and wait on Him are never disappointed. In the remaining six months of the year do not be afraid to go after things God is leading you to do or what your plans are. Take God with you as you embark on those plan. Don't allow fear to hinder you. Challenges will arise along but don't be push by obstacles. Remove every obstacles and be led by your dreams. Keep in mind that all your dream and plan will work out good and come true if you have the courage to pursue them. Give yourself a target and deadlines. Pursue and you will overtake and overcome. Follow your dream and vision all the way to the end. Never compromise on your way so that you will not destroy God's plan and purpose for your life.

Principle of living a successful life.

It has always been my joy to encourage and inspired you from the unbroken word of God. The scripture i'm burdened to show you today will help you to live a life of forgetting your past disappointment and looking pressing forward to your dream. Life might have been so hard for you, failure upon failure but the joy is that you must never quite because quitters never win and winners never quite.
Philippians 3:13-14 NIV
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13-14 TNLT
No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Too often, many christians live with past hurt and disappointments. You work around daily filled with fustration and disappointment. You probably thought you were going to get something tangible from your daily work but all you got has been less of your expectation. You have to let it go, shake it off and move forward like brother Paul. You thought you were going to meet up a target, but you didn’t meet up. This has made you to loose hope but you were not supposed to. You must Keep pressing ahead in truth and integrity, and everything will work out in your life, career, business, marriage, academy and ministry.

Scripture on how to deal with life's challenges

The Bible is full of scriptures that can help you to live a happy life that God has planned for you. One of these scriptures is Romans 12:12.

Rejoice and exult in hope; be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation; be constant in prayer. Amplified version.

Apostle Paul gives us a way out of life's challenges. When you are experiencing life's challenges you must rejoice and exult in hope I.e you must be glad for all that God is planning for you. You must have faith that God has a good plan for you.

The second point is that you must be patient when you're experiencing life's challenges. Don't be worried or rush into decision. Always allow God to guide you.

The third point is that you must be consistence in prayer. Always talk to God about your challenges for directions and guidance. You must be patient in tribulations through constant prayer.

Focus on God

As a Christian, we often find ourselves being tossed to and fro by the concerns of life. We allows the life's issues to distracts us from a consistent focus on Christ alone.

When you Keeps your focus on Christ, it shows that you're intentionally disconnecting yourself from out of everything that distracts you from connecting with Him. As a Christian you must be disciplined enough to see every blessing and struggles of life as Christ sees it.

In other to stay focus in this world of busyness you must focus on God.
The scripture says “Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame" (Psalm 34:5).
To stay focused on God, your quiet time of personal fellowshipping with God must be your priority? Your prayer life must be consistent and in the study of God's word. You must invest on focusing intently on God instead on your circumstances. Always seek after the Lord first in your day by investing quality time with God daily.

It is scriptural that.....

It is scriptural that the generous soul will be made rich and  anyone who waters will also be watered himself.
The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
Whenever I have the privileges to bless people I do it with passion and I've always been blessed in return. Give and and shall be given unto you, even in double fold.
Whenever I have the privilege to teach other what i've learnt, I always discovered that the more I teach people the more expert I becomes. It pays to impact knowledge in people and also bless people.
The hands of a giver is always at the top.
       Think about it.

Ways to live above depression 2

Last week, I wrote on ways to live above depression, part one. I shown you the widespread of depression from ancients to our generation and the key causes of depression. I concluded by showing you how depression can be manage. I will be showing you some scripture I've used to manage depression which I believe will also be of help to you likewise.

God's Word has been and will continue to be the most powerful tool for managing depression. The word of God provides us with guidance, instructions, enlightenment, and encouragement over depression or in depressing situations.

In the year 2006, I sat for some examinations and I failed woefully to the point that I was so depressed thinking that it is over for me and that I will never become a graduate but Word of God came to my rescue from this symptom called depression. I was able to overcame by the word  of my testimony.

The first scripture will help you especially when you are debilitated by depression. The word of God says in Proverbs 18:14 that "A man's spirit sustains him in sickness, but a crushed spirit who can bear?" When you are physically sick your spirit can sustains you and make you overcome such a sickness but when it comes to a crushed spirit; a spirit who has been wounded, it will be so hard for such a person to be help by man ordinarily. In depression, the will to live may be gone and there will be no reserved strength to live in your human spirit. When your a broken down emotionally, a scripture like this is your sword for vitality.

Scondly, is when you're been depressed as a result of sin and guilt. David is a good example of this root of depression. He said a lot about this in Psalm 32:1-5. He shows that recovery from this cause of depression begins with Goddly remorse and confession. "It is a relief for those who have confessed their sins and God has declared their record". Now all you need to do if you're been depressed through unconfessed sins, is to genuinely confess them to God and beliefs in your heart that God has forgiven you.

The third scripture is to help you whenever you're been depressed as a result of anger. A very good biblical example is prophet Jonah. In Jonah 4:1, he grew angry at his circumstance and was depressed and even wanted to die. You also may be angry at your situations and even contemplating suicide. Look if you commit suicide it show that you're a fool because you will die like a fool. What is it that is your problem that  your are the first human being that will be encountering such a problem. Someone else has experienced such a problem even beyond your own and has became victorious today. If Jonah can be victorious and if I can be victorious you too is already on your way to victory as you're reading this.

The word of God is complete. The Bible counsel us to put away anger. You are not to allow anger to carry over in your life from day to day. God is ready to help you overcome depression from anger. All your need do is to soak yourself with the joy in His word.

Depression most times occurs due to stress. You are such a type that worried and burdened on a daily basis about how you will live tomorrow and how you will cater for your family. Your problem is not that you don't have but you don't believes what His word says. Jesus Christ gave a promise to the weary and the burdened heart to come that he has everlasting rest to give. So why are you still going around with your burden and anxiety on a daily basis? Stop adding to your stress by worrying and be anxious for how you will face tomorrow. Live one day at a time by faith in the word of God. Matthew 11:28; 6:34 is all you need here. Read it. Meditate on it, believe it and live by it.

Also the word of God says that " In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). When you are been depressed by the events and the world influences, you must know that Jesus as already said that you will have  tribulations in this world but the joy of it is that He has overcame the world for your sake. I don't know if you're getting my point? You don't need to be control by those events such as economy meltdown, removal of fuel subsidy etc. Just be of good cheer.

Lastly, I will show you from the scripture that depression also comes from the spirit world. Depression some other times arise from unseen influence. The Satan and his agent are the rulers of the darkness of this age (Ephesians 6:12). Satan goes and walks about looking for whom he may devour (1Peter 5:8-9). He creates negative influences and thoughts all around in human being. At this point all you need is to be sober and be vigilant to resist him and remains steadfast in the faith.

There are a lot and many more scriptures to manage depression so as to live above it. Whenever you are been face with this symptom called depression, always make it your habit to use the WORD OF GOD as your medication.

Go For It...

How to Become Fearless

Have you ever wondered how much you would have achieved if you were fearless? Fear is a very dangerous destructive influence that can jeopardise your destiny fulfilment. Fear can take many forms from the fear of failure to the fear of criticism. You can even got to the level of having fear of making bad decisions. If you entertain any form of fear in your life, you are on your way to death. This is because the devil who is the author of fear also come to kill and to destroy. Remember "Fear is destructive".
Fear can stop you from moving forward toward your dream. The first step towards becoming fearless is to know, understand and believes that God has not given you the spirit of fear, but the spirit of power, and of love, and of sound mind. Secondly, you must trust God and believe that He knows what is best for you. And the third point is to know that God is ready to guide you in the right direction. If only you can live by this three points, you will develop the faith that is necessary to accomplish your plan and goals.
Having faith and living by faith is the way to become fearless. " Faith is the victory that overcomes the world, without Faith, it is impossible to please God.
The just shall live by faith.

Biblical Scripture you must Apply before you start your daily work.

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

(Proverbs 16:3)

Should a Christian celebrate Father's Day?

This question came to my mind and I feel I should write my opinion about it. This and many more questions are what Christians asks in a time such as this. Should a christian celebrate father's day? To start with let look at the origin of the father's day and what father's day mean.
Father’s Day is a special day dedicated to celebrate and recognize the influence of fathers in our homes and society. It is a dedicated day of the year to honor and commemorate fathers, grandfathers and great grandfather's.
The official recognised date for Father’s Day celebration varies with many countries. The U.S. communities dedicated every third Sunday of June for this celebration.
Now, let me share with you about the origin of Father's Day. From it's origin, Father’s Day was first observed on June 19, 1910, in Spokane, Washington, through and by Sonora Smart Dodd, a Christian woman and the daughter of American Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart.
Sonora’s mother died when she was 16 years of age, and she wanted a day that would commemorate and honor fathers like her own, who had raised her and five other children. She discussed with her pastor and her pastor agreed to the idea and the first Father's Day sermon was given on June 19, 1910. After the first celebration she solicited the idea of an official Father’s Day but she was opposed. In 1913 a bill was introduced in a U.S Congress and in 1916, President Woodrow Wilson spoke at a Father’s Day celebration in Spokane, Washington, wanting to make it an official holiday, but Congress still resisted. In 1924, Calvin Coolidge became involved, and in 1930 a national committee was formed by various trade groups in an effort to legitimize the holiday but in 1966 President Lyndon Johnson made a proclamation for the third Sunday of June to be Father’s Day. Finally, it was made an official national holiday when President Nixon signed a similar proclamation in 1972. That was the origin.
Now let's look at the biblical stands about Father's Day celebration.
I searched through the Bible but i couldn't found a place where God spoke about setting a special day to honor fathers. God’s Word is silent about setting a specific day to honor fathers, but i found scriptures where the Bible recognises and admonish us to honor men who were leaders or examples of excellence in certain skills, such as Jabal, who was “the father of those who live in tents and raise livestock” and his brother Jubal, who was “the father of all who play the harp and flute”  (Genesis4:20-21 ).
Also, in Genesis 17:5 , God told Abram  “I have made you a father of many nations”. and there Abram's name was changed to Abraham. This shows that God recognises a fatherhood. Though, the Bible does not mention a Father’s Day, we can clearly see that God does recognize the importance of fathers and even gave them honor throughout the bible.
In John 17:1-5, i see, Jesus Christ, the Son, honoring His Father and honoring the will of His Father.
Also, apostle Paul taught the Ephesians to honor their earthly father. As the scripture said, this is a first commandment that, when obeyed, has a promise of things going well and living long on the earth.
"Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.”
Ephesians 6:2-3 ).
After my proper search of the scriptures about this question I'm convinced that fathers should be celebrated and honored even not only with a specific date but always. It's profitable and scriptural to honor our parents. Biblically, father is the God-given spiritual head of the family. So, whether or not to celebrate a specific day or holiday is a matter of individual preference. We have the freedom to celebrate and the freedom not to celebrate if we so choose.

One of the Three things that can change your life absolutely.

And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.
(Isaiah 30:21)

One of the three things that can change your life is when you discover or know the right way for your life. The moment you find out while you're here on earth it changes everything about you.

Ways to live above depression

How widespread is depression? What are it's causes? And how well can depression be manage? All these questions are what I will show you in this article aimed to meet yout needs on struggling with depression. Depression has troubled people everywhere in every age even from the ancient to our generation. It is often called melancholia by health practitioners. A melancholic patient as been described as sad, dismayed, and sleepless. A depressed person belief that his life will never return to normal and even leads some to contemplate suicide. This is why I believe depression is more than just being sad or not buoyant. Its more of a result of disappointment and frustration. The bible says; "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when dreams come true , there is life and joy (Proverbs 13:12). When your hope is deferred, discouragement can grow and frustration will. The root of depression may also be psychological and social such as early life experiences, stress of life events, and especially the loss of something very important to you. Anger is also a cause of depression as well as holding grudges. Also when a person lack specific goals and purpose for life, the result is always anxiety and lack of inspiration towards life which spawns depression.

The joy and the good news is that your struggling with or your suffering from depression has antidot that will make you to recover and live above depression. The first thing you must do is to find rest in Jesus Christ by believing in Him and accept Him as your personal Lord and saviour. If you're not born again, this is not negotiable it is a must if you must live above depression because it's in Jesus Christ that you can find everlasting peace and joy. The plan of God for you is to have abundant life. Jesus Christ tells us that; ... I have come that they may have life, and that have may have it more abundantly. God's plan is for you to have eternal life. Apostle John said that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son; Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"(John 3:16). This everlasting life gives peace, joy and happiness to a depressed heart.

Understanding, believing and applying the scriptural promises is a way to produce the joy and the inner peace to live above depression. The word of God is the most powerful anti depression. You can seek help from professional counsellor to deal with depression but I assure you that the most powerful counselling to war against depression is from a biblical approach. Living above depression is beyond do's and don't, it's about absolute trust in God and faith in what His word says.
It is witten four times in the Bible that "The Just shall live by faith" There are many scriptures to stands on, to walk on and to live by in other to live above depression some of these scripture I will discuss in the part two of this article.

Biblical principle of having your needs met

ASK, and it will be given to you: SEEK, and you will find: KNOCK, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who ASKS receives, and he who SEEKS finds, and to him who KNOCKS it will be opened.

Removes Obstacles from Your Path

As the parable of the sower illustrates, you need to remove any stones and weeds planting. Life is a precious commodity that you can spend, squander, or invest in. Investment in something Long-term will bring the best return and may even provide value beyond your own life. Therefore, you must clear any obstacles from your part to ensure that events don't obstruct you in your quest to realise your dreams.
Remind yourself constantly that all things are working together for good for those who love God and are the called according to His purpose

Be Focus

You can determine the focus of your dream by analysing it's plot. Usually you will be the focal point, although it could also be a theme. If you remove the central character or theme, does your dream remain coherent, or does it fade away? The focus defines the emotional context, but additional elements of the dream can provide structural support to you vision. By analysing your dream and finding the foci, you will be better equipped to stay on track and to remove all unwanted elements. A vision plan will also help you discontinue activities that are not in alignment with your goals.
Keep your dream alive and understand that to achieve anything requires faith and belief in your vision, hardwork, dedication and determination. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.
