Should a Christian celebrate Father's Day?

This question came to my mind and I feel I should write my opinion about it. This and many more questions are what Christians asks in a time such as this. Should a christian celebrate father's day? To start with let look at the origin of the father's day and what father's day mean.
Father’s Day is a special day dedicated to celebrate and recognize the influence of fathers in our homes and society. It is a dedicated day of the year to honor and commemorate fathers, grandfathers and great grandfather's.
The official recognised date for Father’s Day celebration varies with many countries. The U.S. communities dedicated every third Sunday of June for this celebration.
Now, let me share with you about the origin of Father's Day. From it's origin, Father’s Day was first observed on June 19, 1910, in Spokane, Washington, through and by Sonora Smart Dodd, a Christian woman and the daughter of American Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart.
Sonora’s mother died when she was 16 years of age, and she wanted a day that would commemorate and honor fathers like her own, who had raised her and five other children. She discussed with her pastor and her pastor agreed to the idea and the first Father's Day sermon was given on June 19, 1910. After the first celebration she solicited the idea of an official Father’s Day but she was opposed. In 1913 a bill was introduced in a U.S Congress and in 1916, President Woodrow Wilson spoke at a Father’s Day celebration in Spokane, Washington, wanting to make it an official holiday, but Congress still resisted. In 1924, Calvin Coolidge became involved, and in 1930 a national committee was formed by various trade groups in an effort to legitimize the holiday but in 1966 President Lyndon Johnson made a proclamation for the third Sunday of June to be Father’s Day. Finally, it was made an official national holiday when President Nixon signed a similar proclamation in 1972. That was the origin.
Now let's look at the biblical stands about Father's Day celebration.
I searched through the Bible but i couldn't found a place where God spoke about setting a special day to honor fathers. God’s Word is silent about setting a specific day to honor fathers, but i found scriptures where the Bible recognises and admonish us to honor men who were leaders or examples of excellence in certain skills, such as Jabal, who was “the father of those who live in tents and raise livestock” and his brother Jubal, who was “the father of all who play the harp and flute”  (Genesis4:20-21 ).
Also, in Genesis 17:5 , God told Abram  “I have made you a father of many nations”. and there Abram's name was changed to Abraham. This shows that God recognises a fatherhood. Though, the Bible does not mention a Father’s Day, we can clearly see that God does recognize the importance of fathers and even gave them honor throughout the bible.
In John 17:1-5, i see, Jesus Christ, the Son, honoring His Father and honoring the will of His Father.
Also, apostle Paul taught the Ephesians to honor their earthly father. As the scripture said, this is a first commandment that, when obeyed, has a promise of things going well and living long on the earth.
"Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.”
Ephesians 6:2-3 ).
After my proper search of the scriptures about this question I'm convinced that fathers should be celebrated and honored even not only with a specific date but always. It's profitable and scriptural to honor our parents. Biblically, father is the God-given spiritual head of the family. So, whether or not to celebrate a specific day or holiday is a matter of individual preference. We have the freedom to celebrate and the freedom not to celebrate if we so choose.
