“And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.”
Act 12:8 (KJV).*

King Herod took Peter and when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. (vs 4,5). Angel of God appeared to Peter at midnight and Peter followed every single instruction given to him by angel for his deliverance from prison.
Series of instruction has been passed to many so called Christian but failed to follow them “Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.” (Prov 19:27). The instruction given to us are not to harm us but to make us charming.
Following every instruction of the Lord for our lives has a greater rewards in await for us “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes…(Ex 15:26)

Every destiny and assignment to be fulfilled has its own particular instructions to follow. Instructions are being given one at a step and not all at a step, make up your mind today to know and follow every instructions for your life that your glorious destiny can be fulfilled just like;

- *ABRAHAM* –“So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.” (Gen 12:4)

- *PETER* –“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Mat 4:19)

- *SAUL* –“And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.” (1 Sam 10:9)

LORD, cause me to diligently follow and observe every of your instructions for my life in Jesus’ name.

*“Failure to follow instructions in life is the starting of failure”*

Obedience is better than sacrifice

What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.”
--- 1 Samuel 15:22

This is Samuel's response to God when He speaks to Samuel about Saul. In verse 11 of 15th chapter of 1 Samuel "Then the Lord said to Samuel, I am sorry that I ever made Saul king, for he has not been loyal to me and has refused to obey my command.” Samuel was so deeply moved when he heard this that he cried out to the Lord all night.

There are a lot of sermons preached about sacrifice. We are to give ourselves to God and to others. We are encouraged to make sacrifices for God and for others. We may well respond by saying, “I’m going to give up this, I’m going give up that! “I’m going to do this or that!” “I’m going to offer for missionary service. As good and scriptural this is, there is something in God’s eyes that is more respected than any
sacrifice that can be made. There is something greater to God than sacrifice, according to the Bible. God appreciate our sacrifices but there is something more prized by God than sacrifice and that is OBEDIENCE. The simple biblical definition of obedience is "Just do what God tells you to do".

God wants our everyday obedience. Paul calls daily obedience to God as "offering Him yourself as a living sacrifice".
Romans 12:1-2.

The Bible said that king Saul was given a direct order i.e an assignment from God. "Go utterly destroy the Amalekites and all of their animals. King Saul took off… he started to do the assignment that he had been given to do but later he started thinking and he thought, if I kill the king, then all the people back in Israel will not have a victory parade for me and if I kill all his animals I won't be able to make a big deal out of sacrificing them to God.” So Saul killed them all except for King Agag and he killed them all except for a few choice sheep and oxen and rams and he brought them all back. That night God said to Samuel, it over for Saul because he didn’t do what I told him to do.

Obedience is better than sacrifice. In one of Jesus’ parables, Jesus shows how people obey what God has called them to do in the parable of the two sons, the father asked both sons to go and work in his vineyard. One son answered, “No,” but then went and worked. The other son answered “yes” but did not go.
In telling the story, Jesus wanted us to realize that what we do is more important than what we say we will do. Its not really important to say I’ll follow you Jesus but what really matter  is for us to actually follow him. He requires our obedience. Sometimes we say, Yes, but our actions say, “No.”

Help us to be obedient, to do what you have called us to be and do. In Jesus’ name we
pray. Amen.

Why you have to be strong in the Lord

Apostle Paul said; Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. As a beloved son and daughter of God you cannot afford to be a weak Christian because you're the custodian of  the divine power wrought by the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. That POWER is dynamic in operation causing changes at every activation. The latent power of the recreated  human spirit  has the ability to cause transformation and changes as desired through prayer and the spoken  words. It create the miraculous in every situation and circumstances.

You have been given the authority to save, deliver and usher  many to the light of the divine life and to manifest the glory of God in our world. You can not be silent. The Spiritual Authority given to you is for a purpose that must be fulfilled. Your world of contacts depends on you to open their eyes to the external glory and  inheritance in Christ. Make that God's investment count for your world. Be strong in the Lord all the time.
